Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film popular for her work in film productions such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra was the sole child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was 16she already landed several television roles, which included the leading role in the Downfall film Youth Without Youth Control. They praised her part as a character in Der Tunnel. This paved the way for other unforgettable parts, such as Adolf Hitler's secretariat Traudl Junge. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are other Oscar nominees featuring the divas. Alexandra has been involved in numerous notable projects both at home and abroad over the years. They include the British biographical films Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French historical miniseries Napoleon and many more. The actress also served on the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
